D D Map Sketcher Is A Dungeon Designer With Ikea Sensibilities

Marqués’ tool has actually been out in open beta for over a month, but it’s today’s update that really caught my eye. By adding a little “plop” animation to tile placement, Map Sketcher gains an almost Townscaper-like quality that makes sculpting these dungeons an absolute joy. It can be a little fiddly at first, but within minutes I was bashing out multi-tiered sprawls deserving of any Skyrim contender. Of course, these hallways are a lot less vibrant than Stålberg’s procedural seasides, but there’s a charm to Sketcher’s almost architectural layouts - like I’m working at some kind of goblin construction firm, perfecting the blueprints for the dark lord’s evil lair....

Daft Obstacle Course Party Game Fall Guys Is Out In August

So some games are free-for-alls, and some are team-based. And it has a load of silly costumes to customise your contestant, with even a Gordon Freeman one as a pre-order bonus. I’m up for these foolish games. Yeah it looks more chaotic than necessarily skilful, but it looks great for a party game. Round up the Plunklaaads on Discord, go pick up some eggs, get bowled over by fruit, get smashed in a maze, lovely....

Deathloop S Extremely Good D J Vu Song Has Hit Spotify

I totally agree with Graham on being fully on board for Deathloop after seeing its latest trailer that shows off the mix of stealth and action. It really stole the show of the PlayStation showcase it was a part of. What made it extra memorable was the undeniably catchy theme song Déjà Vu by Sencit Music and FJØRA. Here’s that trailer again, if you missed it. I’ve been playing it on repeat for the past week....

Deathloop S Pvp Invasions Will Reward Your Map Knowledge

Deathloop has you playing as an assassin stuck in a time loop on a wacky 70s-era island full of villain “Visionaries” who you’ll need to kill all in a single day in order to break the loop. That’s one part of the puzzle. The other part is that one of these visionaries is also an assassin whose job it is to kill you over and over again to protect that loop....

Deliver Us Mars Review A Family And A Planet In Crisis

This time, though, you’re right at the heart of its central conflict. By casting players as Kathy, the daughter of one of those rogue astronauts, Deliver Us Mars tells a much more fraught and personal tale of what kind of future humanity should be pursuing: should we, in fact, be turning our efforts toward a life in outer space, or should we be doing everything in our power to try and save the dire, pretty much almost dead husk of a planet we call home?...

Demon Turf Review New Beebz On The Block

Beebz is out to conquer the Demon World, but unfortunately for her, the Demon King’s unwilling to abdicate peacefully, so we’ll be taking his throne by force. Using Forktown as our hub, Beebz begins carving out her own turf first, fighting four other gangs to become their leader. Each turf is split between seven stages that reward you with batteries upon completion. You’ll need these to power the King’s gate so you can bust it open, but collecting all seven will also draw out that turf’s respective boss, allowing you to expand your territory in the process....

Destiny 2 Announces Next Three Expansions

SO. Beyond Light. This year’s big autumn expansion will launch September 22nd. It will introduce the new area of Europa, an icy moon of Jupiter. There we’ll find an ancient facility of Clovis Bray, where the morally dubious megacorp created the Exos, Destiny 2’s race of robopeople. Darkness, Exos, mysterious Clovis Bray connections? This calls for a group of superfriends: Eris Morn, the Drifter, and the ‘Exo Stranger’ not seen since the first game (the “I don’t even have time to explain why I don’t have time to explain” lady)....

Destiny 2 S Artificial Meteor Finally Hits Home Today

Season Of The Worthy is about to draw to a close - but before it does, there’s the issue of the Cabal’s artificial asteroid to deal with. After smacking them good during Destiny 2’s launch campaign, the last stragglers of the armoured turtle brigade chose to hurl their sun-eating spaceship at Earth. Destiny 2 S Guardian Games Pit Classes Against Each Other For Gear Bragging Rights

Unless your side loses. Them’s the breaks. The Guardian Games (official site) kick-off on April 21st. Destiny 2 S Hot New Fashion Is A Trypophobia Horrorshow

Lord Saladin arrived last night to host Season Of The Lost’s first Iron Banner PvP event, bringing with him a brand new set of armour for each class. Some have observed that the Iron Forerunner sets seem inspired by a Sardinian village’s festival tradition of costumed mamuthones and issohadores, particularly the mamuthones wrapped in furry coats bristling with bells rang by cowbone. It’s a pretty neat look. It’s also horrifying to some players....

Dice Legacy Review A Plate Spinning Nightmare In Disguise

Dice Legacy is, on the surface, a building game based entirely on rolling dice. Dice and cards obviously aren’t the same, but they share a big chunk of territory. And after living there for most of this week, I am prepared to lie down and let Death take me from here. Dice Legacy drove me goddamn insane. I’m biased. I knew that going in, and I hope it’s clear that my fundamental dislike of this game might simply not apply to you....

Disc Room Review

You dodge discs. There, I’ve explained it. There are about 50 rooms each with its own slicey disc types and patterns of attack. There are discs that slow you down, discs that phase in and out of existence, discs that follow your movements like a sniper. Nippy discs, wobbly discs, fat discs, curveball discs, discs that explode, discs that leave trails of other, smaller discs, discs with hockey puck slipperiness, discs with magnetic skulduggery, and, of course, horrendous boss battle discs that spit sawblade babies at you with every passing second of survival....

Dota 2 S Championships Won T Be Held In Sweden Because Esports Aren T Elite Enough

According to the Dota 2 blog, “Stockholm Live and Visit Stockholm continued to reassure us in our regular and constant communications with them that The International - Dota 2 Championships qualified for the same exemptions other elite sporting events there received. “However, despite previous reassurances, we were informed two weeks ago that the Swedish Sports Federation had just voted not to accept esports into the sports federation.” Valve subsequently applied to the Swedish Minister of the Interior to have the decision reversed, but that was rejected....

Ea Say Fifa Might Not Be Called Fifa In Future

The actual comment on the renaming is brief. “As we look ahead, we’re also exploring the idea of renaming our global EA SPORTS football games. This means we’re reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our other official partnerships and licenses across the football world.” Before it reaches the point of saying this, the post seems designed to convince you that a name change wouldn’t be a big deal....

Catch us on the official PAX Online X EGX Digital website next Tuesday the 15th, at 12pm. What a lovely little lunchtime treat, eh? Not if you have games, though! So we’ll be chatting about the games that let us simulate a life, be that a tiny but more attractive version of your own in The Sims, or one where you are a cruel and capricious god in Black & White....
