Now a new version of the game is out on PC that fixes many of those problems while adding new graphical bells and whistles. The catch: it’s only available via the Windows store and Xbox Game Pass, and not via Steam. The version of Nier: Automata added to Xbox Game Pass just a couple of days ago is the Become As Gods edition, which was originally released for Xbox One in 2018....
Ocean’s Heart is a Zelda-like, in the sense that it’s a 2D, top-down sword swinger in the vein of Link To The Past. That means you’ll never see the kind of vista that’s in its key art (top left, above). You’ll never see that beautiful blue sky. And yet, and yet, I cannot resist the promise of a piece of art like that. I click on every game that uses it....

Devs Mohawk Games say the hundreds of new religious events in The Sacred And The Profane will bring a lot of “what ifs” to Old World. The events range from small-scale rituals, and the everyday beliefs of people, to larger power struggles caused by state religions and newer faiths that crop up to challenge beliefs in the ancient world. Six new characters make their way into Old World with this DLC too, from Jewish rebel Josephus and supposed magic user Ostanes to Mani, the founder of, erm, Manichaeism....

Out Of Hands sprung from a 48-hour game jam held in 2021 that was themed around the concept of capture. Its prototype won Best Game and Best Creative Direction at the jam. The latest version of the game uses live-action footage of hands for the protagonist and most of the game’s items. The last few Seasonal Events in Overwatch have fallen a little flat, but Season 3 looks to change that. On February 14th, the two-week-long Valentine’s event will begin featuring a 4v4 Hanzo-only mode. Rewards include the Hanzo cupid skin, seen in the trailer when the archer blows us a cheeky kiss. The more urgent addition in Loverwatch, a text-based browser dating sim where players can charm either Mercy or Genji....
Ybarra tweeted about the launch earlier this evening, saying that they were “working hard on server issues” and that they were humbled by the attention. He then followed up to write that, “Unfortunately we are experiencing a mass DDoS attack on our servers. Teams are working hard to mitigate/manage. This is causing a lot of drop/connection issues.” A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a malicious attempt to disrupt an internet server by directing an overwhelming amount of traffic at it....

Released today, Panopticon rearranges that mess of generative noise into a more listenable, deliberately-curated package. (Your mileage may vary as to how “listenable” it actually is....
“Papetura tells a story about lonely paper creature Pape, trapped in a flowery prison,” says developer Petums. “One day Pape escapes and finds little Tura, a magical being that he’ll take care of. Gone are narrow corridors and claustrophobic fields - instead, we’re looking at vast open plains that coulda come straight outta the likes of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Described as simply “updating PSO2’s game system and graphics engine”, New Genesis looks to completely revamp parts of the MMOs open-world monster smashing. Frankly, it looks like a whole new game, with huge beasts to take down in sprawling open fields....
When I (very quickly) got sick of the XCOM games, I uninstalled them. When I got sick of Phoenix Point, I started a new game. I like it overall, but after two and a half years of updates, it remains a frustrating game. This is no remake. Its influences include almost every effort to advance what is arguably a genre of its own since the release of its great-grandfather UFO in 1994....
It’s also far more ambitious (and expensive) than 2020’s AOC Agon PD27. It’s flat rather than curved, but goes for both a higher resolution and a larger 31.5in IPS panel. Its DisplayHDR certification also rises from 400 to 1400, fuelled largely by a switch to more advanced Mini LED backlighting: the same sort as the Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX, one of the best 4K gaming monitors.
