It has a pretty art style, some promising ideas, and lots of lovely spell and attack effects. It’s out later today, and there’s a trailer too. I like the cannon attack about 50 seconds in. It sounds crunchy, and the rest of the attacks have some comparable animations and noises....
In a blog post published yesterday, Twitch apologised for the way they’ve been handling the situation, and explained plans to develop tools for streamers to better deal with copyright claims in the future. Since May this year, Twitch say they’ve been receiving thousands of DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) notifications every week - up from just 50 a year. This is something Twitch have been saying for a while, but a large part of the problem when this all kicked off was that there were no simple ways for streamers to review and delete videos....
There’s a total of six indies on Ubisoft+ now. That’s not many at all, but the company says it’ll be adding more games on a “regular basis”. They’ll stick around for at least six months when they do pop up. Two indies have already been kicking about since the start of summer: tower-defence brawler The Last Friend and voyeuristic puzzler A Normal Lost Phone. The latest additions mean you can play medieval comedy adventure Astrologaster, puzzle thriller Evan’s Remains, turn-based tactics RPG Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark and small-town adventure Lake using the service....

The survey was conducted last month by Unionen and SACO, the two main unions at Paradox Interactive, concerning the working conditions in the Swedish part of the business. To its credit, Voice Of Cards is at least pleasingly breezy. At a little over ten hours, this is one RPG that doesn’t outstay its welcome. Wryly narrated by a disembodied game master, chapters are brief and to the point, often consisting of visiting a single town, collecting information from villagers to move along its story of hunting down an ominous, world-ending dragon, and plundering a single dungeon. There are no sidequests to speak of to bog things down further, but that doesn’t mean the world around you is entirely empty....

The publishers, Focus Home Interactive, say Storm Ground will have a non-linear campaign, allowing players to do a couple different playthroughs to find and unlock different things. Warzone Caldera release date and Early Access Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone: Pacific Season 1 begins on December 8. When Season 1 begins, Verdansk will be removed from Warzone, at least for the time being. When Verdansk exits, early access to Caldera begins for all players who own Call of Duty: Vanguard. Slide kicks Long before Fortnite dances stormed the playground, the first video game move I saw someone attempt in reality was Sub-Zero’s slide kick from Mortal Kombat. What could be cooler than the combination of sliding (which you shouldn’t do because you’ll muck up your shoes and school uniform) and kicking (which you shouldn’t do because Jesus is watching)? Maybe childhood nostalgia is why I still think slide kicks are so cool....
