Platforming is certainly not one of Blasphemous’s strengths, so I hope the reward is proper good....

Capcom say they’ll be showing more from Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition, which should include snippets from the Shadows Of Rose and The Mercenaries: Additional Orders DLC. That’s the one where you can play as a slightly smaller version of Lady Dimitrescu, the ever magnetic Heisenberg, and rock-puncher extraordinaire Chris Redfield. We’ll also get a closer look at the Resident Evil 4 Remake, due out in March. Capcom insist there’s more too, so I’m still holding out for the original trilogy of Resi games and Code Veronica on PC....

Fortunately, on Saturday its developers Freehold Games released its “biggest update ever”, the Tomb Of The Eaters. It’s a good opportunity to demonstrate how huge, detailed, and wonderfully strange it is. The centrepiece is naturally the Tomb itself. It’s twelve storeys tall, with about 100 maps, and contains multiple distinct (“historically striated”) sections, surrounded by new architecture and archaeological features, all of which are jammed with new creatures, NPCs, and objects....

This gets you the musical action adventure Figment and puzzle game Yono And The Celestial Elephants. There’s an actual art to concocting each potion you attempt to brew, crushing up your Windblooms just the right amount to make sure you brew a healing potion of the highest quality. By comparison, MiniGolf Maker is traditional - and yet its simplicity is extremely appealing. It’s a mini golf game with a robust editor for making your own courses. Thankfully, none of the Currys PC World RTX 3070 cards are actually available to buy just yet, and their respective prices of £3070 are clearly an error (what with it being the same number as its own model name and all that). Besides, this is a card that’s only meant to cost £469 / $499 according to Nvidia’s official pricing - although given how much RTX 3080 cards suddenly appeared on Ebay for after it sold out in minutes on September 17th, I wouldn’t be surprised if some ruthless scalpers tried to get some poor saps to stump up £3070 for it anyway....
