My savior, who goes by the name of “Keezy”, has created a mod called “Silent Deers”, which mutes those incessant deer bleats entirely. If you have a strange fondness for the noises they make, you can configure the volume at which they bleat, as well as the amount they emit these shrill calls. I do not know why you would opt for these latter options, and I am not sure I would want to associate myself with you, a ‘Deer-Supporter’, but each to their own....

Note that these really are just reskins, and are designed to replace one of the alternate outfits you can put on Spider-Man in-game. You might be able to look like Vulture, but you’ll still have Peter Parker’s standard abilities. Still, after years of replacing Grand Theft Auto protagonists with models of Marvel characters, it’s nice to do the same in an actual Marvel game. I’d recommend Kingpin, Norman Osborn, Mary Jane, Vulture, all by Robin, plus Miles Morales and Peter Park in a labcoat by tiffsomniac, Harry Osborn by Exilekk (made better by the pole glitched through his head), Blackcat by GraviT, and Rhino by JPSkywalker98....

I played Returnal last year and can confirm that it is splendid, and also that you will grow to hate the kamikaze squid in the final area with every fibre of your being. Presuming you get that far. There’s nothing revelatory in that PC features trailer, though ray-tracing and DLSS support are nice to have. The most notable detail on the tech front is that you’ll need a whopping 32GB of RAM to meet the recommended system specs....

I didn’t even know I owned The Pre-Sequel so I suppose it’s done a pretty good job scouring my library to find that one. That’s a curious art style. Pushing closer to ‘realism’ in terms of fidelity but still with heavily stylised physiques and with the lovely ink splashes for charging up wizard powers. Presumably that’s the look the game will go for, rather than just a decision for this announcement trailer? I’m tentatively game. And it could look quite different in contexts other than a shadowy void. Yeah, I’m curious to see more characters in this style....

Wales Interactive call it a “spiritual successor”, where up to four players can team up to survive against what looks like hordes of Quiet Ones (zombie-like folks introduced in Maid Of Sker). Sker Ritual is set to release in spring 2022 on Steam, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. That’s about all the info Wales Interactive have provided at the moment, but I have so many more questions....

Having gone hands-on with a short 20-minute-ish demo of the game at this year’s Gamescom, I can confirm that the remake is real and seems faithful to the original despite some heavy tinkers in the modernisation station.
